Intuit TurboTax — Reset Suite
CV-driven interactive light and sound installation at the TurboTax SoHo flagship

Overview
Reset Suite is an interactive light and sound installation at the Intuit TurboTax SoHo flagship store (463 Broadway, NYC). Opened January 2026 as the anchor of the store's meditative zone, it responds to visitor presence with spatial sound, directional audio, and light choreographed across an addressable LED dome.
The piece behaves as a meditative sequencer: each person who sits adds a voice; each departure dissolves a layer.
How it works
I designed and built the interactive trigger system that drives the dome. Two stereo-depth cameras run on-device inference and classify per-seat occupancy, tuned to distinguish seated from passing by. Each seat runs an independent state machine in TouchDesigner: sitting fires a singing-bowl cue from an overhead directional speaker, a light ripple addressed across the dome toward that seat, and an ambient sound layer that holds while the visitor remains. Departures trigger a reverberant fade. Up to four simultaneous voices weave into a collective meditative composition.
Five curated scenes rotate automatically through the day via the store's CMS; special-event takeovers preserve the meditative frame while syncing lighting to curated content.
Keeping it running
I also built the production observability stack: a Prometheus exporter streams zone occupancy, dwell time, frame rate, and service health into a Grafana dashboard for on-site ops and remote monitoring. Drift, crashes, and hardware faults surface before they reach the visitor experience — turning a creative-tech installation into an operable production system.
From the live dashboard: visitors sit with the piece for 8.86 minutes on average, adding up to 5.3 hours of occupied time per day.
